The electric distribution and utility industry’s interest is shifting towards using tapered steel poles. Several reasons for this shift include the steel pole’s durability and strength, ease of installation, lower costs created from less repairs and maintenance, and consistency of dimensions. At Browning Enterprise we have over a decade of experience, and the capabilities to produce these poles and accompanying hardware.
Cutting
Utilizing state of the art design and nesting software, our steel pole manufacturing process begins using CNC plasma burning technology.
Bending
The steel plate is then formed using our 1,000 ton – 36′ press brake until desired polygonal shape is attained.
Welding
The tapered pole is then sealed using our submerged arc welding equipment.
